This unusual sunset was viewed from Royston (Iceni) Weather Station on a Summer evening circa. 1994. Since the actual date of the photograph is not known it has not been possible to relate the meteorological conditions of the day to the sunset, but the alignment of the cloud giving the impression of radiating from the position of the sun is presumably just a coincidence. A darker arc can be seen towards the edge of the cloud, possibly a shadow. Any comment on this sunset would be welcome.	In the background of this picture can be seen the south facing facade of the 1855 built Town Hall in Royston. The scene is viewed from the Priory Gardens, close to their eastern perimeter, on 20th June 2003 at 0906 GMT.  A west north-westerly wind of mean speed 6 knots, gusting to 14 knots, is blowing across the town in conditions of bright sunshine and a temperature of 17°C. The temperature later reached a maximum of 21.5°C (just a little (0.8°C) above the 30 year mean for this day), whilst the sunshine total was a very respectable 15.1 hours.	Visitors to the Health Centre in Royston leaving the site at the Melbourn Street exit will be familiar with this view of the splendid  Robinia (False Acacia) tree, which stands at the eastern end of the Police Station (just visible), with the Town Hall just a short distance to the left. In this photograph which was taken a few minutes after the previous picture on 20th June 2003, the bright morning sunshine is illuminating the leaves to maximum effect.	Just sky and barley in a scene typical of the 'big sky' and cereal growing landscape around Royston. In this view (as seen at 0838 GMT on 25th June 2003) close to Heath Farm to the south-east of Royston, the rolling acres of barley are rapidly ripening in what has been to date a warmer and sunnier than average June. The temperature is already 19.5°C but rather surprisingly only reached a maximum for the day of 22.5°C (at 1355 GMT), despite the prolonged sunshine of 13.9 hours.
